Ajman Centre for Social Responsibility (Ajman CSR) – an affiliate of the Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry – is carrying out the ‘Workers Health Day’ initiative, in collaboration with Amina Hospital and Safetex’s factory in the emirate.

The initiative aims to raise awareness of how important social work is for the private sector, as well as its positive impact on the economy. It also seeks to connect health care facilities with private institutions and companies in the Emirate of Ajman.

As part of the project, Amina Hospital provided free medical examinations to more than 60 employees of the Safetex factory in Ajman.

Nasser Al Dhafri, CEO of Ajman CSR, said: “The Ajman Centre for Social Responsibility is working to launch joint initiatives and projects with private institutions in the emirate in an effort to promote social responsibility in the business community and raise awareness of the great role it plays in enhancing companies’ reputation and building bridges with local communities.”

“Social responsibility initiatives support all segments of the community in various ways,” he added. “They allow private sector institutions to positively interact and actively participate in the development of society, in partnership with government entities.”

Al Dhafri asserted that health-oriented community initiatives have a direct impact on the sustainability and growth of the economy, applauding private-sector facilities for their cooperation, their awareness of the importance of social responsibility, and their engagement in social initiatives.

For his part, Mohamed Ali Abdallah, Chief Operating Officer of Anglo Arabian Healthcare Group, noted: “Amina Hospital is committed to strengthening its partnership with the Ajman Centre for Social Responsibility, in order to implement joint initiatives and events directed at the community and all establishments operating in the emirate, in line with the memorandum of understanding between our two entities. The Amina Hospital administration has adopted a full agenda of social initiatives and events to promote efforts that seek to establish a healthier and happier community, which, in turn, meets the emirate’s vision.”

Meanwhile, Farooq Ibrahim, Managing Director at Safetex Group, thanked Ajman CSR and Amina Hospital for providing medical tests for more than 60 workers at the factory, underlining the importance of social initiatives and their direct impact on economic growth and sustainability, in addition to their role as an incentive encouraging healthcare facilities and the public sector to launch similar initiatives.
