AJCCSR trains service employees on sign language

The AjmanCenter for Corporate SocialResponsibility (AJCCSR), organized a training course on sign language for theservice employees of local government and private departments, and hotels incooperation with Sharjah City for HumanitarianServices.

 

The course was attended by 32participants who were trained on how to contact with the people with hearingdisabilities, so that they can optimally serve them. The course was deliveredby Wael Samir, Sign Language Specialist at Sharjah Cityfor Humanitarian Services. He focused on the ways of communicating simply withpeople with hearing disabilities.

 

Commenting on the course, Nasser AlDhafari, CEO of AJCCSR, said that the course comes within the Center's effortsto educate service providers at the government and private sectors about theways of communication with customers of hearing disabilities. He stressed thatthe stakeholders of determination are of the top priorities of the AJCCSR.

 

“This course will effectively enhancethe communication in sign language between service employees and people withhearing disabilities to increase their satisfaction and happiness.” Al Dhafriadded.

 

He praised keenness of the governmentdepartments which engaged their service employees in the course. He furtherthanked the Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services and the Department ofTourism Development in Ajman for theircooperation in organizing the course.

 

Al-Dhafri also noted that the AJCCSRadopts a plan for 2018 that aims at implementing a chain of events incooperation with various stakeholders in order to reach various sectors. Itgoes in line with Ajman vision-2021, he added.
