The Ajman Center for Corporate Social Responsibility (ACCSR), asubsidiary of Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry organized an open careerday for the people of determination in cooperation with the Manzil Center andEmirates NBD to offer the jobs available in some institutions like Du, theHumaid Foundation, Al Ihsan Society, Al Ansari Exchange, Ajman University, GulfCraft, Fairmont Hotel-Ajman, Ajman Hotel, Bahi Hotel-Ajman and LandmarkGroup-Splash.
Held at Majestic Hall, Ramada Hotel, it was witnessed by Salem AlSuwaidi, Director General of Ajman Chamber, Nasser Al Dhafri, CEO of ACCSR anda number of private sector officials.
Commenting on the initiative, Al Dhafri stressed its importance andthe role played by it in creating an umbrella that promotes job opportunitiesfor people of determination at private sector and the public interestinstitutions. The step comes to utilize their abilities and provide social andfinancial stability for them, in addition to serving the diversity of cadresand skills of manpower in the labor market, he added.
The initiative was joined by 10 institutions, including companies,hotels, banks and public interest to provide more than 22 jobs. It featureddirect interviews between the exhibitorsand job seekers, reflecting the awareness of the participants and their supportto the people of determination, Al Dhafri said.
He further pointed out that the initiative will contribute to thecreation of a database of job seekers that will enhance communication andprovide future job opportunities in cooperation with various bodies. The ACCSR,within its sustainable objectives, seeks to provide job opportunities forpeople of determination in various sectors. The initiative also translatesstrategy of the emirate of Ajman, which is consistent with the UAE and embodiesthe directives of the wise leadership in providing a variety of jobopportunities for this category.
In the meantime, the visitors reiterated the importance of theinitiative and its role in providing a channel of communication between jobseekers and employers. The initiative provides equal access to jobopportunities and career advancement in various fields. They also urged to keeporganizing similar initiatives and activities that increase employment andtraining opportunities, as well as integrating people of determination invarious sectors.
It is worth mentioning that the ACCSR and Manzil Centre signed anMoU to coordinate efforts aimed at rehabilitating people of determination andproviding them with job opportunities. The agreement also seeks to utilizetheir creative abilities and integrate them into the labor market so to beactive members in the process of development. It further states to implement anawareness programme for officials and representatives of government and privatebodies to recruit candidates of this category.
